Boobs. They come in all different shapes and sizes. Running with boobs? It can be challenging....because boobs come in all different shapes and sizes! And truthfully, sports bras haven't always come in different shapes and sizes. And how about running for a LONG time with boobs (like 26.2 miles?) It can cause all kinds of pain and issues- chafing is my biggest issue (underarm and right Continue Reading
Fits Do Race Reviews: Grandma’s Marathon 2016
Marathon #23, complete. On Saturday, June 18, 2016, I ran Grandma's Marathon in Duluth, MN. This was my second Grandma's Marathon. Other than Twin Cities, this is the only marathon I have done more than once. I'm going to start with the bad news...I did not achieve my goal at this race; I had hoped to go under 3:40 by enough to be able to register for Boston 2017 with Dustin. But Mother Nature Continue Reading
Friday Five: My FIVE Favorite Places to Carbo-Load in Minneapolis!
Today's installment of Friday Five Favorites is a quick list of my five favorites place to "carbo-load." These are great places to eat in Minneapolis the night before a race or a long run. 1. Punch Pizza. Website: http://www.punchpizza.com Hands down. The best place in town pre-long run/pre-race. It's light- it won't weigh you down. And it's so, so tasty! There are several locations in Continue Reading

I'm a fan of the Moving Comfort Serena bra, (which was discontinued -so sad!) and the Bitty Bracer by Continue Reading

Pure Barre class after work. Wednesday: 6 Continue Reading
Friday Five: Five Reasons to Love Grandma’s Marathon
I ran 18 marathons before I finally gave Grandma's Marathon a shot. Dustin had run it twice, once before I knew him, and once when we were dating, but both times it was very hot and sunny. His experiences weren't great, so I was never tempted to run it. But then my running club friends would run it each year, and they would have awesome races there. They would tell me what a fun weekend it is in Continue Reading
Weekly Recap: 13 Days Until Grandma’s Marathon 2016!
Taper time! This week was a noticeable cutback in mileage and intensity. Time to let my legs rebuild and recover in time for Grandma's Marathon 2016. (For tips on the taper, check out this post.) *Also...look at that terrible form above. That picture is from the Lebanon 10k. When I start to work hard, my arms cross all over my body! Monday: The Brian Kraft 5k! With 2 miles to warm-up, 3.1 of Continue Reading
