Happy Sunday! As usual, I'm here with a weekly recap of training for the Houston Marathon. We are now 12 weeks out from marathon #30! Here's how my training went this past week: Monday: After a fun but tough 13-mile run in the rain the previous day (read about that HERE), Dustin decided he was going to rest today, so I did 6 miles on my own in Flåm, Norway. This was actually the first time Continue Reading
13 Weeks until the Houston Marathon & Running in Scandinavia
This weekly recap post is a unique one, as it includes a lot of running in Scandinavia! If you missed it, I shared this Fits on the Road post about the first part of our trip, which included Copenhagen, Denmark and Gothenburg, Sweden. I plan to share similar posts about the rest of our time in Norway; I'll keep this recap post a bit shorter and focused on fitness. But please stop by later this Continue Reading

Generally most marathon training plans are 16 weeks long, so I guess this is the official kickoff to training. I'm excited and feeling cautiously optimistic. The gorgeous fall running weather this week definitely helped. This is seriously the best time of year to be a runner. I hope this weather Continue Reading

Hello! I hope you're having a fantastic weekend! Did you watch the footage of the Berlin Marathon? A new world record, so exciting! I ran the Berlin Marathon in 2013. Though it wasn't an awesome race for me, it was still a cool experience. Read all about it HERE. It was my first international marathon and one of the 6 races that got me my 6-star finisher's medal last Continue Reading
Weekly Recap: 20 Weeks Until the Houston Marathon
I hope you're all having a lovely weekend (hopefully a long one at that, if you get tomorrow off for the Labor Day holiday here in the US!) I'm here with my weekly recap, where I've been recapping my recovery from a broken tibia/fibula and building back to marathon shape in time to hopefully run my 30th marathon in Houston next January! Here's how training went this week: Monday: Non-running Continue Reading
