Eighteen weeks ago, I told you that I had registered for my 20th marathon, the Anthem Richmond Marathon. That marathon is now less than a week away! I'm excited to toe that starting line again and get a 26.2 mile tour of Richmond, Virginia! Here is how the past week of tapering went: Monday: 8x1000m repeats at a "cruise" pace of 7:40. 2 miles to warm-up with my friend Christie and about 3 Continue Reading
Weekly Recap: Happy Halloween & Two Weeks Until Richmond!
Happy Halloween everyone! I hope you had a wonderful weekend celebrating. I always love Halloween. As you can see from above, I made my costume this year. Homemade for the win! I got the idea from a young trick-or-treater at my house last year who was covered in orange pom-poms. He said he was "cheeseballs!" and I thought, what a great idea- I should do that! So I have been thinking about this Continue Reading
Weekly Recap: A Birthday, Running Camp, & 76 Miles.
I'm behind on my "training for the Richmond Marathon" recaps, so I'm going to share last week really quickly and then move on to this week- my BIG push week! Here's how it all worked out: Monday: 7 miles in the morning with a two run club friends Continue Reading

Here's how this past week worked out for training: Monday: We were still up at the cabin on our long weekend with Dustin's family. My workout was 1 mile warm-up, then 2 sets of 3 miles at tempo pace (5 minute break Continue Reading
Training for the Anthem Richmond Marathon
Another week of marathon training in the books. Lots of running this week...and lots of cabin time! Monday: Easy 5 miles in the morning with a few run club friends Tuesday: Easy 5 miles in the morning with Matilda the vizsla, then the Endless Summer Trail Run at Hyland Park. This was a 7 mile trail race (which ended up being more like 7.5 miles- trail races are always “approximate!”). I did Continue Reading
