I have added a page to the blog with posts about "Where to Run" in different locations. My idea is that this page on The Right Fits will be a helpful resource when you are traveling to different destinations and want to go for a long run (or a short run!) I write a lot about running in different locations, so this page will be a summary of what I have learned. This is where I need YOUR help! I Continue Reading
Fits on the Road: Exploring Kyoto- Part 1
I know, I know, the Right Fits is supposed to be about Fitness and Fashion but I like to use it to share pictures from traveling too! So bear with me for just a few more posts from Japan. After our day in Hiroshima, we took the Shinkansen to Kyoto! Kyoto was probably my FAVORITE city that we visited in Japan. It was so beautiful and charming. It has a very surreal old-school Japanese feel Continue Reading
Fits on the Road: The Day Before the Tokyo Marathon & the Tokyo Sky Tree
Hi there! I haven't had as much time after the marathon to sit down and blog. Leading up to the race, there was a bit more down time since we didn't want to be on our legs too much so I was able to catch up with you here and here. But since then, it's been go, go, go! I have been working on the marathon recap and hope to have that done soon, but first, here are a few pictures from the day Continue Reading
Fits on the Road: Girls Weekend in New York City
After 6 weeks of traveling around Asia, I returned to Minneapolis last Sunday, only to pack up for more travel! But this time, the travel was all for fun; fun in the form of a long weekend trip to New York City for my oldest sister’s 40th birthday! Three sisters and one college friend descended upon a perfect VRBO in Midtown for four nights in the Big Apple. The other girls arrived Continue Reading
Fits on the Road: The Phi Phi Islands
"Travel is the only thing you can buy that makes you richer." I have really enjoyed my travels so far in SE Asia (in the past and on this trip.) It's such a fascinating and beautiful place. If you missed my previous post about my short Christmas trip to Phuket (pronounced POO-KET), you can catch up here. I promised you pictures from the boat tour I took to the Phi Phi Islands (pronounced Continue Reading
Fits on the Road: Phuket, Thailand
Phuket, Thailand was pretty amazing. Beautiful beaches, cheap and amazing food, friendly people, fascinating culture...I only got a quick taste of it, but I definitely recommend it. Before I left Singapore to fly to Phuket, I was second guessing whether I should have spent the money to go there on my own. It seemed like kind of a waste. But now that I am back I can say it was totally worth it. Continue Reading
Fits on the Road: Exploring Sentosa Island & Johor Bahru
When I ask around as to what I should do while in Singapore, a lot of people suggest Sentosa Island. I didn't make it there the last time I was in Singapore, so I figured I probably should go. The thing is, I wasn't really all that excited about checking out Sentosa Island, as it just didn't seem like my cup of tea. But nonetheless, last Saturday, I figured out what buses to take and made my Continue Reading
