Welcome to 2020! I hope your year is going well so far. I shared a post this week reflecting on running through 2019 and my plans for 2020; catch up HERE. Obviously, first up on the 2020 calendar is the Atlanta marathon which is now 8 weeks away! Here's how training went this past week: Monday: 6 miles on the treadmill before work, 9:15 min/mile average. Discover Strength after work. Tuesday: 7 Continue Reading
Running through 2019!
It's always fun to reflect on the year in running, and the blog makes it easier to do so, since everything is documented and available at my fingertips! After no marathons in 2018 due to a broken leg and then a long road to recovery, 2019 was my marathon comeback year! ...and that marathon comeback started with the Houston Marathon in January, where I comfortably ran a 3:56. I was Continue Reading
Weekly Recap: 9 Weeks Until the Atlanta Marathon
It's the last weekly recap of 2019! What a year it's been...I hope to have time for a reflection post on running through the year, but for now, it's on to the weekly recap of training for the Atlanta Marathon, which is on March 1! Monday: Easy 9 miles in the morning; the trails around Bde Mka Ska (i.e. Lake Calhoun) were a little icy on the way to the meet my friends, but once there, we Continue Reading
10 Weeks Until the Atlanta Marathon
It's officially winter! Though it doesn't really feel like it; Minneapolis is actually experiencing a bit of a warm-up this week (I love it; who needs a white Christmas??), with temps over 40 degrees! I'm not complaining, the warmer temps made training for the Atlanta marathon a lot better! There are now 10 weeks until March 1, i.e. 10 weeks until the Atlanta marathon! As you may know, the Continue Reading

I'm officially 11 weeks out from marathon #34, the Atlanta Marathon, which will be my 23rd state on my 50-state quest. I'm here recapping my training this past week. But first, please check out this guest post from Kate, an athlete that I coach, Continue Reading

Check out Kate's writing accomplishments on her website, http://www.katehattemer.com She's published multiple books, but today, she's here to tell you about her Continue Reading
Weekly Recap: 12 Weeks Until the Atlanta Marathon!
Happy Sunday! I'm here with my weekly recap of training for the Atlanta Marathon on March 1, which is just 12 weeks away! Training this week included a lot of treadmill time; the temperatures weren't terrible outside, but the trails were terrible, so I opted inside for the safety of the treadmill. Dustin was also traveling for work, so I felt guilty putting Ruth (our younger vizsla puppy) in Continue Reading
