There are 16 weeks until the Houston Marathon, which will hopefully be my 30th full marathon! Generally most marathon training plans are 16 weeks long, so I guess this is the official kickoff to training. I'm excited and feeling cautiously optimistic. The gorgeous fall running weather this week definitely helped. This is seriously the best time of year to be a runner. I hope this weather Continue Reading
Weekly Recap: 20 Weeks Until the Houston Marathon
I hope you're all having a lovely weekend (hopefully a long one at that, if you get tomorrow off for the Labor Day holiday here in the US!) I'm here with my weekly recap, where I've been recapping my recovery from a broken tibia/fibula and building back to marathon shape in time to hopefully run my 30th marathon in Houston next January! Here's how training went this past week: Monday: 8 mile recovery run at a 9:09 min/mile average pace. Tuesday: Long morning tempo. 2 mile warm-up, 6 miles at a 7:30 pace, 2 mile cool-down. Oh my gosh, it was SO windy. This Continue Reading

If I could wear my Brooks Ravenna's all day every day, I would, but unfortunately they aren't always acceptable (i.e. work in an office). Since most of us aren't lucky enough to have lives that allow us to wear workout clothes all day, it's important that we have good, supportive shoes for these times that Continue Reading
