Over a year ago, I shared a list, "You Know You're a Twin Cities Runner...." That post was a lot of fun to put together, so on my run today, I started brainstorming more ways that you know you're a Twin Cities runner! First, go check out that post and then read my additional ways below for You Know You're a Twin Cities Runner- Part 2! #1. You have been stopped in your tracks by the stunning Continue Reading
Training for the Anthem Richmond Marathon
Another week of marathon training in the books. Lots of running this week...and lots of cabin time! Monday: Easy 5 miles in the morning with a few run club friends Tuesday: Easy 5 miles in the morning with Matilda the vizsla, then the Endless Summer Trail Run at Hyland Park. This was a 7 mile trail race (which ended up being more like 7.5 miles- trail races are always “approximate!”). I did Continue Reading
Fitting Remarks: Celebrating Your Girlfriends!
Girlfriends. Aren't they great? I have four girlfriends that I have known for my whole life (see below pics with 3 out of the 4 of them!) Yep, my sisters. My Grandma's experience included a torrential downpour, a broken toe, AND a big PR! Let's start at the beginning. We drove up to Duluth on Friday, which is about a 2.5 hour drive from Minneapolis. We stopped along the way in the town of Hinckley, MN for Continue Reading

They treated me well on my most recent 26.2 mile journey and I plan to bring them to Tokyo for the marathon in February as well. I have mentioned these shorts before as they are definitely my current favorites! They are a Continue Reading
Fit Tip Friday: Why Runners Should Try a Barre Class
If you have been reading the Right Fits for awhile, you know that I'm a fan of barre classes. I think they are a great workout for both runners and non-runners a like. Yet there are a lot of reasons why you should try a barre class if you are a runner. With their focus on strengthening core, butt, and thighs, barre classes might just be what the doctor ordered to prevent running injuries. In Continue Reading
