Three weeks until my 39th marathon, the 2022 Boston Marathon! Can't wait. Okay-technically 15 days until the race! This is my recap of the previous week of training. Here's how things went as I entered into the taper! Monday: 6 solo early morning miles (I went into the office Mon-Wed this week; we are supposed to be in a "majority" of the time, and I like to get my in-office days out of the Continue Reading
Weekly Recap: 4 Weeks Until the Boston Marathon
It'a another week closer to my 39th full marathon, which will be the Boston Marathon 2022! I uploaded my proof of covid vaccine awhile back and received a QR code to add to my apple wallet for the expo. They made the process really easy and its great to know they are doing what they can to keep people safe. My personal concern is that I get covid right before Boston and can't run it...but Continue Reading
Weekly Recap: 5 Weeks Until the Boston Marathon
Happy first day of spring! We made it. It was a rough winter; it was definitely a rough winter for runners in Minneapolis! But there's a light at the end of the tunnel and brighter (less icy!) days are ahead. Here's how training went for the Boston marathon this past week:Note, I'm always recapping the previous week, or 5 weeks out, but technically Boston is just a month away, or 4 weeks from Continue Reading

Temps above zero, trails relatively clear. 20 min upper body Continue Reading
Weekly Recap: 8 Weeks Until the Boston Marathon
What a heavy week, wasn't it? My heart breaks for the people of Ukraine. I can't imagine what they are going through. I know we all are seeing the news and no one really needs my take on it, so I'll just say that I am hoping for peace. Moving on to the regular light-heartedness of fitness, which I recognize that I am very fortunate to have. It was another cold and icy week in Minneapolis, Continue Reading
Weekly Recap: Greetings from Whitefish & 9 Weeks Until the Boston Marathon
I left off with last week's recap with day 1 of snowboarding in Whitefish, Montana. That Sunday was a gorgeous bluebird day, warm enough to comfortably enjoy an après-ski on a patio! That sun felt amazing. We had a lot of fun on the mountain! Whitefish was a lovely ski resort- a bit more low-key than some (no lift lines! No crowds!!) with plenty of blues and accessible black diamonds for an Continue Reading
