On Sunday, January 20, 2019, I ran my 30th marathon (and checked off my 20th state in my 50-state quest!) , which was the Chevron Houston Marathon in Houston, Texas. It was my first marathon after taking a year off of marathoning due to a broken tibia/fibula. After a long year of recovery, it was so great to be back at it. Here's my review and recap! Weekly Recap: 1 Week Until the Houston Marathon
Happy Sunday! Here I am, one week before my 30th full marathon and first marathon since breaking my tibia/fibula on February 17, 2018. My goal for next Sunday's race is to have fun- no pressure on time, I want to remember to just be grateful to be running a marathon again, less than a year after the most traumatic injury of my life. After I broke my leg, I wasn't sure if I'd ever be able to Continue Reading

Here's how things went this week: Monday: I ran to meet my friend Christie for a morning run; we did 5 together and I did 4 alone to get to 9 miles at a 9:20 Continue Reading
Weekly Recap: 7 Weeks Until the Houston Marathon
Hello, hello! I'm here with my weekly recap of training for the Houston Marathon, which is 7 weeks away! These next few weeks will be 'peak' training time for the race. It's getting a bit intense! I was able to fit in a vinyasa Continue Reading
