An injury has emerged! It was bound to happen, right? My theory as to why I got this injury is not from running too much, but honestly from running and then NOT walking or even moving around enough. It started bugging me shortly after we started working from home, which was when I stopped walking from meeting to meeting, from the bus or parking lot, to and from lunch...I was running but then Continue Reading

This was my 22nd state in my quest to run a marathon in every state, and my 2nd fastest marathon ever. This post will share details on my personal performance as well as the race in general. One Week Until the Indianapolis Marathon!
Just one week to go until the Indianapolis Marathon! I've been counting down the weeks to the Indianapolis for quite a while now. Though this will be my fourth marathon of 2019, (Houston, Antarctica, Brookings), it's the first one where I feel like I might be close to where I was pre-broken leg. My goal is to break 3:35, though I think I would be happy with anything in the 3:3X zone. I've put Continue Reading
Three Weeks Until the Indianapolis Marathon!
I made it through the biggest week of marathon training for Indianapolis- woohoo! I'm really excited for marathon 33 (state #23) in three weeks! My coach doesn't have me step back too much yet; I still have an 18 mile long run next weekend. But the overall intensity and mileage are on the decrease over the next three weeks. Taper time! Here's how training went this past week! Monday: 8 Continue Reading

First things first, check out the guest post my younger sister Laurie wrote about her first experience with a running coach and hitting her goal at the City of Lakes half marathon! Read more HERE. Other big news of the week Continue Reading
Weekly Recap: 8 Weeks Until the Indianapolis Marathon!
Weekly recap time! I’m linking up with Kimberly and Deborah for their weekly wrap, details at the end of this post. This was a tough week; I felt like so many factors were working against me and I had to work twice as hard to adhere to my training schedule. For example, Dustin was traveling all week for work, so I was a single dog mom (which is actually a lot of work with a puppy!) We had Continue Reading
Weekly Recap: 17 Weeks Until the Indianapolis Marathon
Well, this was a bit of an interesting week in training due to my work trip/offsite meeting in Montauk. Here's how things went: Monday: I was up and running before 5 am to fit in 6 miles before my uber picked me up to head to the airport. I flew into LGA; the drive from the airport to our hotel (Guerney's on Star Island in Montauk) was about 3 hours. We arrived in time to check-in and shower Continue Reading
