Happy Fitness Fashion Friday! Today I am reviewing two recent purchases from Sweaty Betty. I had only previously purchased two other items from Sweaty Betty and you can check those out in this post. I don't have a lot from Sweaty Betty, but everything that I do have has been well made and very well designed. I haven't been disappointed! However, there are no local Sweaty Betty stores, so I Continue Reading
Fits Do Race Reviews: The Greenland Trail 25k (and 50k) in Larkspur, CO
Dustin survived his first "ultra!" I tagged along and survived my first trail run (25k) at altitude. The word "ultra" marathon is such a broad term. I guess it means anything longer than 26.2 miles and most "ultras" are trail races. It seems that in the "ultra" world, the 50k distance is just a "beginner" race into the world of ultra long distance, with 50 and 100 milers being quite popular. Continue Reading
Failed Fit: My Second Month of Fabletics…
Today's Fitness Fashion Friday is a FAILED fit! Now, this blog is called the Right Fits, but I'm going to be completely honest with you guys. My second month of Fabletics was the WRONG fit. You can check out my first month of Fabletics here. The first month wasn't so bad- a decent pair of capri tights and an average tank top; nothing too exciting, but decent enough that I decided to continue for Continue Reading
Fitting Remarks: Tell me more about Sound Probiotics!
Like many of you, I have fitness/running goals that I am focused on and driven to achieve. I put a lot of time and effort into my training, and I hate to be set back by injury or illness; it can be very frustrating. So a few months ago, when Ted at Sound Probiotics reached out asking me to try their product, I was willing to give it a shot. And now, nearly 5 months later, I can't say enough good Continue Reading
Fits Do Race Reviews: The Get in Gear 10k
Last Saturday was the Get in Gear 10k. There was also a half-marathon and a 5k on Saturday. The evening before was a 2k for kids! I ran the 10k because that race was part of my running club's USATF racing circuit. As I mentioned in my weekly recap, my coach had me "taper" a bit for this race, so my legs were a bit more rested than they normally would be mid-marathon training. I think it worked! Continue Reading
Weekly Recap: A Cutback Week and a 10k
Another week has passed. It's time for my weekly recap! This week was actually pretty light on running. My coach had me "taper" a bit for the 10k I raced on Saturday. He cut back on my mileage and my workouts (only one this week) to prepare. Here's how it worked out: Monday: 8 easy miles with my run club Tuesday: My only workout of the week- 2 mile warmup, 1 mile at 10k goal Continue Reading
Fitness Fashion Friday: Brooks Versatile Lite Running Tank
Looking for a perfect hot weather tank? I think I have found it! It's from Brooks...like a lot of my apparel lately it seems. It's the Brooks Versatile Lite Running Tank and it is incredibly, well, lite and versatile! Emphasis on the word light (lite?) The material is super soft, a bit transparent (but in a G-rated way), no seams, no chafing...just a perfect hot weather tank. You can Continue Reading
