At the end of every year, I usually recap the year in running on the blog. Usually those recaps include multiple marathons. For example, in 2016, I ran FIVE full marathons in one year. But this year? Zero marathons. Running in 2018 was defined by one thing- a broken leg*. *And a cancelled trip to Antarctica. I'll go ahead and recap each month... January 2018: I was excitedly Continue Reading
Weekly Recap: 5 Weeks Until the Houston Marathon
Five weeks until my 30th full marathon! I'm really starting to get excited to take on 26.2 miles again...I just love marathons and have missed them in 2018. Darn broken leg. 2019 is going to be a much better year! This week was a bit of a cutback week in training for Houston and I'm excited that I was able to fit in more non-running activities! Happy Sunday! As usual, I'm here with a weekly recap of training for the Houston Marathon. We are now 12 weeks out from marathon #30! Here's how my training went this past week: Monday: After a fun but tough 13-mile run in the rain the previous day (read about that HERE), Dustin decided he was going to rest today, so I did 6 miles on my own in Flåm, Norway. This was actually the first time Continue Reading
