After the whirlwind visit to the U.S. last week, this week was pretty low-key, with a focus on getting back to a London routine & training for the Dublin marathon in 13 weeks (and the Medoc marathon in just 5 weeks! Did I mention that everyone runs Medoc in "fancy dress" - i.e. a costume- and the theme this year is Gastronomy. I need to figure out our costumes! Any suggestions? I want it to be Continue Reading
Weekly Recap: 14 Weeks Until the Dublin Marathon
And, I'm back in London after a whirlwind week back in the U.S. We have 14 weeks until the Dublin marathon, and just 6 weeks until the Marathon du Mèdoc- summer is flying by! Why did it take so long for us to go back to the U.S.? There's no single reason...we're both working busy jobs here and it's not like we have unlimited personal time; we have been using a lot of our holiday for other Continue Reading
Weekly Recap: 15 Weeks Until the Dublin Marathon
Hello from the United States! We are back in Minnesota for the first visit in exactly a year. I can't believe we've been away for so long, but the first year seemed to really fly by.... Although its a long (albeit direct) flight from London to Minneapolis, I do hope we come back more than once a year going forward. Here's how this past week went in training for the Dublin marathon (and in Continue Reading

Weekly Recap: 17 Weeks Until the Dublin Marathon
...and just 9 weeks until the Marathon du Medoc (which I'm treating as a training run for Dublin, but I still have to be able to cover 26.2 miles!) This was busy week at work; even though I still fit in a fair amount of fitness, I sadly barely took any pictures the whole week. So this is a low-picture kind of post. But still, it was a solid week of fitness and the London weather was quite Continue Reading
Kicking off training for the Dublin Marathon
I missed last week's official link-up for the recap, but I did still recap my week HERE if you want to catch up on what I've been up to and the details of my family's recent visit. I have had so many visitors in London over this first year here, I feel like I'm becoming quite the tour guide for a variety of ages and interests. Let me know if you ever need my advice! Here's my recap of this past Continue Reading
Weekly Recap: Hosting Family/Exploring London!
What a fun-filled week with family. My oldest sister, her 3 daughters, and her husband were in town for a summer holiday, so hosting them was a big focus of my week. Running still happened- lots of walking, and lots of fun. Here's how it all went down! Monday: I met up with a woman I met at the Mornington Chasers long run the other weekend; she lives in the Camden neighborhood, so we met at Continue Reading
